Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2 November 2026
1. Who we are
DocSense is operated by AMG Innovation, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect when you use DocSense, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can have it deleted. Questions or requests: gyandeepg871@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, and a sign-in identifier from Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google sign-in). We never see your Google password.
- Documents you upload: the PDF, JPG or PNG files themselves.
- Extracted data: the fields we pull from your documents, such as invoice number, date, vendor, total and line items.
- Plan and payment status: whether you are on the Free or Pro plan, and the Razorpay order and payment references for your upgrade. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and error messages) kept by our hosting provider for security and debugging.
DocSense does not use advertising or analytics trackers. Your browser stores a Firebase sign-in session so that you stay logged in.
3. Where your documents are stored
Uploaded files are stored in Firebase Storage, and your account and extracted data in Cloud Firestore. Both are Google Cloud services, and the app itself runs on Firebase App Hosting. Data may be stored or processed on Google servers outside India (for example in Singapore). Access is restricted so that only your signed-in account can read your own files and records.
4. How extraction works (Claude API by Anthropic)
To extract data, the content of each document you upload is sent to the Claude API, provided by Anthropic PBC, which returns the structured fields shown in your dashboard. Anthropic processes this content on our behalf only to provide that result. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through its API is not used to train its models. Please do not upload documents you are not permitted to share with such a service provider.
5. Payments (Razorpay)
Pro plan payments are processed by Razorpay. When you pay, you enter your payment details directly with Razorpay, which handles them under its own privacy policy. We receive only confirmation of the payment and its order/payment references, and we store your account identifier with the order so that we can activate your plan.
6. How we use your data
- To provide the service: store your documents, extract data and show it to you.
- To manage your account, plan and monthly usage limit.
- To process payments and keep records required by Indian tax and accounting law.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To contact you about your account or important changes to the service.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your documents for advertising.
7. Who we share data with
Only the service providers needed to run DocSense:
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Storage, Firestore and App Hosting) for hosting and storage.
- Anthropic (Claude API) for document extraction.
- Razorpay for payments.
We may also disclose data if required by law, a court order or a lawful request from a government authority.
8. Retention and deleting your data
We keep your documents and extracted data for as long as your account is active, or until you ask us to delete them. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing gyandeepg871@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We will delete your account, uploaded files and extracted data within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
Payment records may be kept for longer where Indian law requires it (for example for tax purposes). Backups and logs held by our providers are overwritten on their normal schedules.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Email gyandeepg871@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored with Google Cloud's encryption at rest. Access rules limit each user to their own files, and server-side checks verify every request. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login private.
11. Children
DocSense is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app.
